Martin Faure
Martin Faure places nature at the heart of his dreamlike, poetic and contemplative landscape paintings. Born in Paris in 1991, and graduating from the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2018, he has created a world of his own, woven from travels and residences, lights and visions, which make up his pictorial imagination. Scotland was no stranger to him, and for Inverness, he reinvented a mineral and vegetal territory: "Inverness, these letters pronounced in a breath evoke vast territories that intoxicated me as I surveyed the paths of this breathtaking landscape caught in cottony mist. A suspended time where the atmosphere is a stage set, a whisper in contemplation. The sap of the trees exalts intense scents, the pure wave trickles over a rock that may be the ruin of a palace entwined by so many years in this mythological landscape...".
